An oversized shed dominated this small backyard, leaving little room for anything else.

Removing it freed up the layout entirely. Existing furniture was repositioned to create distinct zones - Adirondack chairs along the fence form an enclosed seating nook, while a high table toward the rear keeps the center open and flexible. Planters in shades of blue and green, varied in height, add structure and visual depth without cluttering the compact footprint.

Decorative objects and wall-mounted shelves (made from found materials) animate the fence line, while string lights extend the garden's use into the evening and visually connect it to the interior.
