Anya Zmudzka is a Washington, D.C.-based landscape designer specializing in sustainable, well-crafted designs for small urban gardens in the DC area. With a focus on transforming city spaces into inviting, functional outdoor environments, her work is tailored to the unique challenges of Washington, DC’s historic neighborhoods.

Anya’s interest in urban garden design began while studying sculpture at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts. She later completed a Master of Landscape Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, building her skills in design for urban environments.

Living on Capitol Hill, Anya is passionate about enhancing the character of DC’s historic districts through thoughtful, personalized garden designs. Her work has been featured in Julie Moir Messervy’s The Home Outside, highlighting two unique, adjoining gardens in Northwest DC.
